Hello everyone, I'm new at this computer group stuff. Just joined facebook also and really don't have it down very good yet. I've been playing golf for about 12 years. I didn't start golf until my late 40's. It seems my game comes and then goes just as fast.

Just started 3 years ago, but I love it! Temp here is in the single digits - too cold for man or beast to be outside. Can't wait for Spring!

I love playing golf and now I am using golf to help motivate me to get healthier. Three weeks ago I had an operation to repair torn cartilage in my knee. I've been going to PT and on my own to the gym. My goal is to have my knee in good shape for spring golf. I am also working at losing weight which is especially hard considering that I am in my 60's. I want to be able to walk the gold course and improve my game for the upcoming season. I posted a picture of me playing in my ladies golf league on my fridge to remind me everyday of my goals.

Hello, a friend told me about this website so I thought I would check it out. I have been playing golf for many years --- when my children were young I played very little, but now that they are grown, I have tried to get back to play regularly -- at least as long as the weather holds out. I LOVE to play golf. I love watching it on TV. My biggest thrill was watching the womens US open played in Newport, RI in 2006 and watching Lee Travino play at the CVS charity classic a few years ago.

Hi everyone, I started playing golf in July of this year. My family signed me up for lessons so i would be able to go out and play with my son who plays. At first I thought this is going to suck and what a waste of money! Now all can seem to think about is when can I play. I love this game!

Hi, just joined this group. I am retired and took up golf 3 years ago. 2nd year playing in a ladies league. I love playing but the season is running down here in the Northeast. I also need an operation on my knee for torn cartilage. Looks like I am going to have to wait for spring to continue my golfing. Not a happy camper, Oh Well!

I agree about the addiction. I started playing about six years ago and haven't stoped. I just wish I could play better. (sigh)

The golf season is winding down in Wisconsin - those nice days are far and few between...and yes work does interfere with golf....but I really do enjoy both
